All Carnival games, attractions, and concessions start at 3 Stars.

 

Star Card purchasers and Carnival participants release GCISD, GES PTA, and their affiliates from any liability or claim concerning accident or injury while participating in any Carnival Activity.

They serve delicious shaved ice in a variety of flavors!

Kona Ice will be accepting Cash and Credit Cards at Carnival.

A Sensory Safe Space is being provided this year for our friends experiencing sensory overload or simply needing a break due to a special needs diagnosis.

 

Please help us keep this space safe for them by only visiting if you are a parent or family member with a child enrolled in our Rise Classroom, SPED program, or with a special needs diagnosis. Therapists from Phoenix ABA will be volunteering to help each child enjoy this space. Please note that parent supervision is required for admittance.

Carnival FAQ 

 

Where on the GES Campus is Carnival?

Carnival booths will be both inside and outside all around GES. The foyer will be open for bathroom use, the cafeteria for food, and some activities will be in the gym. However, most activities will be outside. Both of our playgrounds will be open for families to enjoy as well!

 

What is a Star Card?

Carnival Currency! GES PTA sells Star Cards specifically for Carnival every year, like Coupons at the Fair. Every booth and concession stand item starts at 3 stars.

 

Do I have to pre-order Star Cards and tickets? 

We will have Star Cards for purchase on the day of the event, but you can skip the line and buy early today! Pre-sale is happening now through Friday, October 11th HERE.

 

Do I need cash or a credit card at Carnival? 

GES PTA will be accepting cash, checks, and credit cards at our Star Card purchase table. All Carnival booths, activities, and concession stand, will accept Star Cards. Kona Ice Truck will only be accepting cash or credit card. Meat U Anywhere is presale only HERE.

 

What will be at the Concession Stand?

Water, sodas, cotton candy, popcorn, chips, and more! 

 

Will there be parking at GES? 

Please note parking will be limited, as most Carnival booths are outside. We encourage walking, carpooling, or parking at Fellowship of the Parks Church and walking. Thank you to Pastor Thornton and Fellowship of the Parks for letting us use their parking lot. 

  

Can I volunteer at Carnival? 

Absolutely, and we would be so grateful if you would! Sign up above! We will have a Volunteer Check-in table at Carnival.  If you are signed up to work a Carnival Booth, please check in at the table five minutes before the start of your shift. 

 

Will there be an Auction at Carnival this year? 

GES PTA is hosting an Auction again this year, and there are lots of amazing items up for bid! Auction will open for bidding on October 7th at 12:00 pm and close October 21st at 12:00 pm. We appreciate your support of our auction! CLICK HERE to view the Auction website! 

 

Does Carnival need sodas and cakes again this year? 

Yes. We are asking for the donation of 2-liter soda bottles for the Ring Toss Game, and store-bought baked goods for our cake walk.

• Sodas can be dropped off in the foyer starting October 7th.
• Baked goods can be dropped off starting October 15th.
• All items need to be dropped off by October 18th in the foyer.

Are there prizes for games?

Yes! We will be giving out small prizes at some of our Carnival Booths. However, there will not be tickets for games or a prize redemption booth this year.

 

What is that Cash Grab inflatable, can I win real money at the carnival?

Unfortunately, no. However, your GES Star can win Disco Dollars! If you don't know what those are, make sure to ask your student. They are a very cool incentive the teachers and staff give out at GES. *Note there will be a small prize at the Cash Cube Booth for the students who do not attend GES.

 

Can middle school and high school students get volunteer hours to help at Carnival? 

Yes! PTA officers will be on hand to sign off on volunteer hours. Middle and high school students can sign up to volunteer above!
